All About Me

Hello.  The first thing I need to say is that I LOVE being a photographer. It's my dream job and is something that I fell in love with at the age of ten, when my Dad let me take his expensive compact camera away on a school trip!

Unfortunately dreams can take a while to come true so I started my working life as a publicist for TV and radio shows including the Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio, TFI Friday and The Big Breakfast. In 2000 I moved to Capital Radio before becoming the Head of Press for new music station Xfm, now known as Radio X.

Working as a publicist means working closely with photographers, and this was the area of my job that I loved. My passion for photography also meant that I was on hand to take my own pictures as and when needed for publicity purposes. As such my photos have appeared in publications including Heat magazine, OK!, The Independent and The Sun newspaper. You would also find me in the photographer's pit at our many live gigs shooting the likes of Kasabian, The Scissor Sisters and Supergrass.

Whilst at Capital Radio I enrolled in a photography course at the City of Westminster College, where I gained a distinction for my final project. But it was only after the birth of my son in 2007 that I started to consider photography as a career. When my maternity leave came to an end, I decided to follow my dream and I haven’t regretted a single day.

My true passion has always been portrait photography and, in particular, kids. I love their lack of inhibitions and spontaneity. As a mum to a teenager I know how quickly those early years slip through your fingers and this is why when I’m with him, even now that he's growing up, I’m rarely without my camera.

A photograph will last a lifetime and become a permanent reminder of how wonderful and innocent these early years really are.
